Morning Watch

This picture was taken of me at dawn, providing combat security in Afghanistan (2006).

Systems Developer | U.S. Army Combat Veteran | Presbyterian Ruling Elder

My name is Stewart Nicholas.  I’m a Northern New Yorker, and a software applications manager with the National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC).  I’ve been practicing technical leadership for nearly 20 years.

I’m a graduate, and current student at SUNY Empire State College; where  I’m learning how to align people, processes, and technology to improve organizational performance.

I’m a former member of the U.S. Army Signal Corps, a taekwondo black belt, and a Ruling Elder with the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).

TeknicalGrit is my personal blog about life at SUNY Empire State College, leadership, and life after the Army.  Any views expressed are mine alone and do not reflect those of my employer, SUNY Empire State College, or the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).
